Costs and alternatives

A repair quote needs a repayment plan.

Compare the cost of a small loan for car repairs with mechanic payment options and eligible No Interest Loans.

CashLift is preparing to launch and is not accepting applications. Joining the waitlist is not an application or an offer.

Start with the repair quote

Ask for an itemised quote and distinguish work that is necessary now from work that can safely wait. Ask the mechanic about payment arrangements and any fees. A loan should be considered against the actual shortfall, not the total you might be able to receive.

If the bill exceeds $2,000

CashLift’s planned maximum paid amount is $2,000. Major repairs can exceed that; a small loan does not solve an unfunded remainder. Discuss the full quote and payment options before committing. Do not defer safety-critical work based on a funding assumption.

An alternative for essential car costs

Eligible No Interest Loans can cover car repairs and registration, with no fees or interest. They pay the supplier invoice directly and require eligibility and repayment-capacity checks. Check this option before paying SACC fees.

Questions for this expense

Would the money go to the mechanic?

The planned CashLift payout is to your nominated bank account; you would pay the mechanic. A No Interest Loan works differently by paying the supplier invoice.

Can I rely on same-day funding?

No. Applications are not open, and future funding depends on assessment, verification and offer conditions. Bank processing also affects receipt.

Funding is conditional on assessment, verification, acceptance and funding requirements. Bank processing affects receipt; no same-day timing is guaranteed. The offer will explain weekly repayments and the available repayment method before acceptance.
