Utility bill loans

A bill spike shouldn't become a disconnection.

Quarterly electricity and gas bills land hard. Before you borrow: your provider must offer a payment plan if you ask. If that's not enough, a CashLift SACC can bridge it.

Electricity, gas, water and phone bills that arrived bigger than expected.

Common questions

Q01 Should I ask my provider first? +

Yes — always. Every energy retailer must offer hardship payment plans, and they can't disconnect you while you're on one. Borrowing should be the second option, not the first.

Q02 What about government help? +

Most states offer energy bill concessions and one-off vouchers (like NSW EAPA). Ask your provider or ring the National Debt Helpline on 1800 007 007.

Q03 How fast are funds? +

Once your contract is signed, funds are sent to your nominated account.
